  • How many lessons a week should I do?
The majority of students enrol in 1 session per week and this has proven a popular and successful option over the decades. Continuing all year round rather than seasonally is another successful strategy to consider as skill retention does tend to go backwards with seasonal or annual breaks. If you have the desire and resources, then enrolling into 2 sessions per week does speed progression and skill retention rate of your child. Please be reminded that water safety and learning to swim is a long journey and should be viewed in terms of years rather than weeks or months.
  • What if my child has not enrolled in swimming lessons before?
It is never too late to start your first swim class. Getting the confidence, skills and familiarisation in a water environment may take longer if you did not start at a young age but this should not deter you from starting the journey. Your mindset may require a little more patience, focusing on your child’s own progression rather than comparing them to others.
  • How long will it take for my child to learn to swim?
As you would suspect there is not a set answer for this question. Each child is different and combined with individual circumstances makes setting a learning timeline nothing more than vague prediction. However, it is safe to say that water safety and learning to swim is a long journey and should be viewed in terms of years rather than weeks or months. Avoid the temptation of comparing your child’s progression with someone else's child. Be mindful that your child will learn and progress at their own pace.
  • What class level should I enrol my child in?
Initial enrolments are age based and then your child will progress according to their skill and maturity level. The following pdf link provides our program structure with age-based guides. Swim Program
